Innocent Mwendi sat for her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations at Ndurumuru Primary School in 2016 and scored 350 marks out of the possible 500. Innocent joined form 1 at Gundua secondary school in feb 2017. In the first term examinations, she emerged the best student, an indication of a promising future.

However, Innocent is facing challenges of raising the school fee since she comes from a single mother family who relies on casual jobs. (No fee paid up to date)
