Peter Kiogora is a fourth year student at Gundua Secondary School. He comes from very poor circumstances and lives with his brother in a small wooden shed without electricity and sharing beds.
Peter started at Gundua Secondary with rather low grades but has since shown great talent and ambition, especially in math. Peter went straight to the regional finals in the annual math competition for Kenya’s fourth graders and came third in competition with over sixhundred other students. He has now been invited to participate in the national finals in Nairobi and hopes to receive the Gundua Grant to be able to go to University and studies to become a civil engineer. We keep our fingers crossed for Peter!
